Katie Rudowsky

Senior Landscape Designer

Raised along the Chesapeake Bay in a small town in Southern Maryland, Katie always had a fondness for the outdoors and an attraction to travel. In 2013, Katie traveled around the world studying different landscapes, public spaces and urban design. A few months after returning to the States, Katie was seeking a change in scenery and warmer weather. A few weeks after receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University she found herself feeling the excitement and “small-town” charm of Nashville, Tennessee.

As a Senior Landscape Designer, Katie puts her tenacity for problem solving to work in each of her projects. Like solving a puzzle, Katie views each project as a question that needs to be answered. With her expertise in creative landscape design and proficiency in navigating the entitlement process and municipal regulations, she is persistent in putting the correct pieces together.

Katie has a knack for jumping from one project to the next, which is fortunate since she is part of almost every project at KVD. From construction documentation to conceptual design and graphics, Katie’s responsibilities and talents are multifaceted. Whether she’s coordinating projects with other staff, communicating with clients or assisting with landscape/hardscape plans, Katie brings a joyful and open-minded attitude to her work.
Since joining the firm in 2014, she’s been enjoying every day and helping Kiser Vogrin Design prosper by learning new skills and making a positive impact on people and spaces through landscape design. Katie draws inspiration from each new project and seeks to understand what draws her client to that specific place. For Katie, every project has a story, and she thrives on telling that story through landscape design.

Outside of the office and her passion for design, Katie enjoys playing in a local kick ball league and taking her dog, Jackson, to the dog park. She has recently put down roots in Nashville by purchasing a flat in a mixed-use development in the emerging Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood.
