Build it, craft it and make it fun every day. That’s exactly what Gary Vogrin was thinking when he and long-time friend and colleague Dwight Kiser opened the doors at Kiser Vogrin Design. As “the Chief” at KVD, Gary is the man who brings in the work, develops relationships with clients, fosters a great work atmosphere and keeps the staff inspired. And he does it all while still employing his creative, efficient and top-quality master site planning skills.
With more than 20 years in the landscape architecture industry, Gary has gained a broad spectrum of experience—working on everything from site design and construction plans for schools and parks to mixed-use developments and master-planned communities. Through all of these endeavors, Gary has never lost his love for creating outdoor spaces, and he’s still fascinated with how people interact with those spaces and the memories they help make.
Whatever the job, Gary strives to bring innovative design expertise that stands the test of time to every project. He has built long-lasting relationships, stayed cool under pressure and remained motivated by the challenge of each new day… with a little rock and roll in the background and a love for bourbon. But, above all, Gary is committed to the highest quality of work, and he always does his best to deliver a final product that exceeds the client’s expectations while respecting and staying within their budget. With that focus on excellence in mind, Gary hopes that someday—in the distant future—he can leave KVD as a financially successful, top-notch design office that can flourish beyond his years.
And, though Gary has a company to run and a list of notable projects as tall as he is, he still makes time for fun with his wife, Michelle, kids, Sydney and Trevor, and Bailey, the family dog. Together, the family enjoys doing just about anything outdoors, playing games, listening to vinyl records and living a quiet life in the heart of Williamson County.
