Dwight E. Kiser

It all started with a bad day in Biology 101. That was the point when Dwight Kiser decided to pursue a Landscape Architecture degree. Now, some 40 years later, the Kiser Vogrin Design team is lucky to call him our founder and president.

Dwight oversees all aspects of project management, consultant oversight and client coordination at KVD. He also handles business development and day-to-day management of operations, and he keeps a constant eye on KVD’s growth by adding hand-picked team members and partners who share a like vision and drive. Whatever he’s doing, Dwight is committed to establishing and delivering the highest quality in all we do at KVD. Whether that’s design, client representation or community service, Dwight makes it his daily mission to continue building KVD into a highly respected and profitable design firm by striving for excellence in every project we take.

While Dwight is passionate about his business development and operational responsibilities at KVD, he thrives on tackling the next challenging design project—and a good cup of coffee. Known for his site planning and detail development skills, Dwight’s style is far from ordinary, and he seeks inspiration from both nature and the built environment. In his years of experience, Dwight has built a resume of successful projects ranging from lifestyle and golf communities in Franklin, TN, and Charlotte, NC, to resort residential land planning in Hilton Island, SC, China, Nicaragua and Panama.

Outside of the office, Dwight enjoys working in his yard and renovating his Franklin home where he and his wife, Sarajane, have lived for more than 20 years. A recent knee replacement has paved the way for him to get on the golf course, though he has a way to go before he’s an ace on the dance floor. Dwight also has newfound joy with the arrival of two rambunctious grandchildren—a granddaughter from his daughter, Janey, and a grandson from his son, Harrison.
